This term, the Grade 12s studied the language of persuasion and applied their knowledge of ethos, logos and pathos (as modes of persuasion) in analysing different persuasive texts, from rhetoric to advertisements. The unit culminated in the students producing an advertising campaign in which three media formats were used. Applying their knowledge of persuasive techniques and approaches, the students created incredible ad campaigns which would do the school proud. All material, including images used, was original and they were challenged to keep the essence of the SVP brand yet create something fresh and unique.
